Hamilton Police subsequently arrested 26-year-old Kyle Dumont-McArthur, a Hamilton resident. He was arrested without incident on August 11 and appeared in court the following morning. Police have charged him with second-degree murder in connection with Roussel’s death.
The investigation remains active, and authorities have emphasized that the circumstances leading to the original altercation have not yet been established. Four other people who witnessed the incident have been identified and interviewed by investigators.
